a film leaping into the world of hemp North American West Coast, 1996

Now In Production

We are Underway!
The Hempen-Road Crew have just completed a very exciting and fruitful filming expedition to Victoria where we spoke with and filmed a bunch of great folks.

While in Victoria, we spoke with Odette from Ecosource Paper, Mayoral Bronze Medalist and thinker/businessman Ian Hunter, Sacred Herb shop manager Sarah Bedard, EarthenWare boutique owner Padra, and Zima Snac Foods roasters Eric and Alice.

Link to get the lowdown of the fine folks from the fair city of Victoria.

Next up. . .Washington and Oregon.

Here's the Idea:

Beginning November 1996, writer / hempster dave olson and independent multi-media film-maker eiji masuda hit the road to create what promises to be an unique and exciting hemp venture.

In the hemp world today, there are few video / film resources that are well-shot, purely contemporary and artistically created. We plan to fill that void with a fast paced and contemplative story of the hemp industry and the people in it. This is a chance to capture and chronicle a re-emerging industry and to put a human face behind the excitement and controversy of hemp.
